All participants will receive a $1,300 stipend to pay for travel, lodging, food, and other expenses.
Traveling
The St. Louis Lambert International Airport is located in north St. Louis County and is a 15-20 minute drive/taxi ride from the museum. There is an Amtrak and Greyhound station in downtown St. Louis that is a 5-10 minute drive from the museum.

While in St. Louis, you can travel East-West and North via the city’s MetroLink transit system. Transportation will be provided during each day of programming for visits to historical sites.

The National Blues Museum is located in the historic Laurel Building on Washington Avenue, which also houses the Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Louis Downtown, located at 610 N 7th St, St. Louis, MO 63101. The museum has a long-standing relationship with the hotel and has negotiated a lower nightly rate for participants of the workshop of $145 per night.
